Fabulous Party!
We had an Elder's Quorum BBQ last night at a neighbor's house and it was so fun! They have a super fabulous set up (Like $500,000!), including waterfalls, jacuzzi, big rock slide and jumping cliff and more! It was a beautiful day and the water was nice and warm. Lots of fun people there and after swimming, we played volleyball, another favorite thing of mine to do! You should have seen my friend, Janae, she was playing, while holding her baby, she did an awesome job! I feel like I've already been on vacation and I haven't even left yet!! (Don't bother checking for pics, I was wearing my bathing suit - PLEASE!

The Dentist
So, I went to the dentist today, to get my "permanent crown" AKA the last of my $1,300 OUCH! I am glad to be done with this dentist thing - I hope for a long time! I was in California, complaining to my sisters and Heidi informed me that she has several crowns and they all cost her around $2,000 each! So, I felt better.

The Babies
Here I am, babysitting the babies while Brooke is at the "Cousin Retreat" in Nevada with all of her adult, girl cousins. Austin went wild with the chocolate milk yesterday, filling her shoe, splashing the wall, her hair, the carpet, etc. I still don't know how she snuck by me with her cup while I was making dinner! I was going to give her a "time out", but I had to shower her and her shoes instead. (While I cleaned the wall, carpet, chair, etc.). They are awfulling cute - my favorite babies!

Hanging Out in California
Hello - we are hanging out down here visiting family and enjoying the California weather - now that it's gotten a little cooler! (Well, I'm enjoying it, Stacy's in a conference all day!) I went for a great walk this morning with Dad and Debi, back behind some houses here in Yorba Linda, it was nice and overcast and very enjoyable. Stopped in at a new quilt store with my mom, picked up a little fabric for my patriotic table topper, I'll post it as soon as it's finished! Shane is enjoying the MTC, he says there is too much chocolate milk and he's getting fat.

Hanging in There
Well, we went to the gym early 3 days in a row! I will be out of town (California!) for the first part of next week, so I'll get a little break. The fabulous, fun quilt retreat is officially over! I was so exhausted from sewing, I left early today - I would never make it as a "sweat shop worker"!
We made some fun projects. Thanks everyone!

Back to the Gym!!!
Well, early this morning, I went "back to the gym", I've been putting it off for a long time. I broke my ankle a couple of months ago, so I couldn't go for a while, my "big boot" has been off for 10 days or so, and I still had no intention of going back any time soon. Then, Amanda told me that she had signed up at the gym. Brooke works in the daycare at the gym, so she has a pass too. Well, we went at the very early time (for us) at 7 a.m. and it was surprisingly fun. Also, nothing beats the feeling of getting your hardest stuff done by 8 a.m.! (Gettng up and working out). We are going again tomorrow. By the way - Amanda has lost 40 pounds. Brooke looks fabulous too (as always). They are running at the gym - I am just doing the elliptical trainer - but we all lifted weights. The girls made fun of my "weight-lifting gloves", but after lifting, they complained that their hands smelled like metal - I laughed, mine were fine!

Kinda Fun
Well, we are having a really good time with no kids at home. We are in our jammies at around 8 p.m., all snuggled in for the night. We see our kids that aren't on missions nearly everyday, so it's great and we aren't too lonely. We got a funny letter from Shane, at the MTC. He says the Elders that are going to China have a "gang", he cracks me up! Doug's room is all ready for him, and we are so looking forward to when he comes home. Right now I should be downstairs finishing the "unfinished" part of the basement clean out, but it is kind of dirty and dark down there! I am finishing up a simple quilt for my friends first grandbaby, I will post a picture of it as soon as it's finished. Gotta go do some "official" work now!

The Baby is Gone!
Well, we dropped Shane off at the MTC on Wednesday and we are "empty nesters" for 4 months until Doug gets home from his mission in Minnesota in September. I have moved my very small quilt room out into the main family room of the basement and I now have a "quilting studio" - sounds fabulous, doesn't it? It is! I have spent the last couple of days cleaning out the basement and I am almost done! I am saving the last part of the unfinished portion for Monday. I took a giant load to D.I. today and all of my trashcans are full too! Stacy says if I can just keep my stuff picked up, our house will stay clean. He is so funny, we all know who is Mr. Piggy!
